Description
An aid in the treatment of gastroenteritis and diarrhea in dogs and horses
For oral administration.
Peptosyl lines the stomach, adsorbs toxic compounds and has protective, antacid and antiseptic properties; it is mildly astringent.
Peptosyl is nonantibiotic; it will not cause bacterial resistance to develop. It is nontoxic in animals and humans, displays antibacterial activity, decreases water loss, and may also help reduce the pain of inflammatory bowel diseases.
Dosage: Dogs. 0.25 to 0.5 mL/kg bodyweight orally.
Repeat dose every 6 hours for 36 hours, and then at 12 hour intervals for a further 2 to 3 days.
